And to develop further the professional knowledge of Yoga, to understand the problems the student. This area of training is becoming increasingly important in the practice and teaching of the Yoga postures.

Human skeleton

We might ask:

Why do we need a natural science such as anatomy to help us reach the metaphysical goals of Yoga ?

However it is obvious that to begin the practice of Yoga, our main instrument is the human body.

As Yoga teachers we find a broad spectrum of students with different physical characteristics, different ages and abilities. Our goal is to lead them to more perfect asanas, rather than to perform difficult asanas; it is to create awareness of the body and especially proficiency breathing. To create this awareness in the student, it is essential to have knowledge of the anatomicy and physiology of each posture.

Through your knowledge of the asanas, you will create a body consciousness that will manifest in correct and beautiful postures.

Deepening your Understanding

You will deepen your knowledge of the body, its structures and functions. You will create a solid foundation for each asana and be able to better understand how, where part of the movement, which parts of the body more actively involved, and why many people have difficulty and others do not.

This course offers Yoga teachers an opportunity to improve their skills. This will help them to update their knowledge and practical teaching. A knowledge of the anatomical structures of the body are key to improving the practice and teaching of Yoga.

Students completed a pre-form with two of the problems presented by his students, in line with the anatomical region under study during the class.

Students should bring suitable clothing for the anatomical work: shorts and shortsleeve shirts.
